Locations

Adding sites, per-location payout wallets and keys, and archiving.

A location is one site of the business you already onboarded. Locations share your signed agreements, your checkout account, and your fee rate — they are not separate accounts.

A different legal entity is not a location. A separate company, EIN, or registration needs its own Zoyn account with its own agreements and its own rate, and that cannot be set up from this login. The first thing the add flow asks is which of the two you have, and it offers to open a second account for you if the answer is "a different entity".

Locations live under Organization → Locations. Only the shop owner can add, edit, archive, or reopen one.

Adding a location

Add location, then:

  • Name — required, and the one field you will recognise it by everywhere else.
  • Address — two street lines, city, postal code, country, and state for US locations.
  • Payout wallet — the decision that matters:
  • Organization wallet — this location pays into your existing payout wallet and payment contract. Most accounts want this.
  • Dedicated wallet — this location gets its own wallet and its own payment contract, set up by Zoyn operations. The platform fee leg is identical, and Zoyn never holds or signs for those funds.

A dedicated address has to be typed twice, because sending money to a wrong address is not something anyone can undo.

What each card tells you

  • Active or Archived.
  • Own checkout account if this location runs checkout through its own provider account rather than the organization's.
  • The address on file, the payout wallet, and where funds actually settle.

If the card says it couldn't check this location's key setup, that is a failed read on our side — it does not mean the location inherits the organization's keys. Retry from the card.

"Funds still going to the old wallet"

If you change a location's payout address, this warning appears until Zoyn replaces that location's payment contract. A payment contract cannot be changed once it is set up: it keeps paying the exact address it was set up with, so money from that location keeps arriving at the old wallet in the meantime. The card names both addresses.

Contact Zoyn support to have the location's payment contract replaced with one that pays the new address. Zoyn never redeploys or signs for your settlement contract automatically.

Per-location keys

Checkout account on the card gives one location its own checkout account; the button reads Replace Checkout account once it has some. Clear override removes them and sends that location back through your organization's account from the next checkout onward — it asks you to type the location's name first, and the cleared keys cannot be recovered from Zoyn.

Archiving and reopening

Archive asks you to type the location's name. Afterwards the location stops appearing in your reports and can no longer be chosen when you create a payment link. Its history stays where it is.

Reopen, on the archived card, brings it back exactly as it was — same settings, same payout setup, same keys, same identity, so reporting attribution is unbroken. It changes nothing about how money moves: nothing is set up or changed on the payment network, and payment links revoked or moved elsewhere before archiving are not moved back.

Reporting

Payment links created without a location report under the organization. Once you have locations, the reports gain a location filter — see Reports.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
