Getting started

Choosing which emails Zoyn sends you

The notification preferences, and the emails no preference can switch off.

Settings → Notifications controls which emails from Zoyn reach the account owner's inbox. It is one shared setting for the whole account: owners and managers can change it; other roles see the page read-only.

Nothing here affects your buyers. Zoyn does not issue buyer receipts at all — those documents belong to the checkout partner and to you.

Payments and links

  • Payment received — one summary a day of every payment you took, with what each buyer paid, the platform fee, and what you receive. Every payment of that day gets its own line, however many there are, so no payment is left out of it.
  • Email me for every payment — off by default. Turn it on to get a separate email each time a payment settles, instead of waiting for the daily summary. Payments that got their own email are left out of that day's summary, so nothing reaches you twice.
  • Payment underpaid — Required. A buyer sent less than the link price and it needs a decision from you. See Handling underpayments.
  • Payment link almost used up and Payment link used up — notices about a link reaching its use limit and stopping. Links are single-use today; see Payment link lifecycle and statuses.
  • Checkout account problems — Required. A notice if your keys stop working, checked daily, and a reminder when they have gone unverified for over a year. See Checkout account: verifying and rotating.

When the daily summary arrives

It is sent shortly after the day it covers has closed, and only on days you took a payment — a day with none produces no email.

The day is counted in UTC, not your local time. If you are several hours behind UTC, a payment taken late in your evening can land in the next day's summary. Either way, every payment appears in exactly one summary.

Account and platform

  • Weekly digest — how many payments you took, what buyers paid, the platform fee and your share for the last seven days, sent on Mondays when you took payments that week.
  • Account changes — Required. Suspension, fee proposals, and payout-wallet change confirmations.

Rows marked Required

A Required row is on and cannot be switched off. Each one is either a decision only you can make or a change to money or access — the kind of message that would be worse than useless arriving late because a preference had been forgotten a year earlier.

Emails that never appear on this page

Some mail is not a preference at all and is not listed here:

  • Security alerts — including team members being removed or added back, and any activity on your API keys.
  • Notices that something you rely on stopped working — for example your payment domain failing, which stops your existing payment links resolving. If updates stop reaching your website altogether, you are told separately.

These reach you regardless of what is set on this page, by design.

Saving

Toggles do nothing until you choose Save preferences. If saving fails, nothing changed — try again.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
