Payments for equine vets

Get paid for yard visits, vettings and horse transport paperwork.

Equine vets work from the car, not behind a counter. Send a link from your phone before you leave the yard, or before a vetting for a buyer abroad, and stablecoins settle to a wallet you control.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 11 we refuse.

Why this is harder than it looks

A field instead of a counter, a buyer far away, and paperwork that takes time.

The invoice is written in a field

There is no reception desk at a yard. The invoice goes out days later, and then it has to be chased.

Send the link from your phone before you drive away, with the visit number as the description. Every link is a single payment of a fixed amount.

The buyer is in another country

A pre-purchase vetting is often paid for by a buyer abroad who has never seen the horse.

Send the link for the vetting fee before the examination. The buyer pays from their own wallet, wherever they live, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

Travel paperwork is your time too

Examinations and certificates for a horse that is travelling take hours that are easy to forget to bill.

Quote a fixed fee for the paperwork and send its own link. Nothing is charged automatically.

Visit and vetting fees settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a buyer paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

One visit, one link.

1

Agree the visit or the vetting

With the owner, the buyer or their agent.

2

Send the link for your fee

From your phone, with the visit or invoice number as the description.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What an equine vet asks first.

Can the buyer pay for the horse through my link?

No. The link is for your own fee: the visit, the vetting or the paperwork. The price of the horse is never paid through it.

What about yards I bill every month?

Each invoice is its own link. There is no automatic monthly charge; you send the next link when you raise the next invoice.

Does this work for small-animal and emergency vets?

Small-animal and emergency clinics are covered on the pet care page, linked below. This page is for the yard visit and the vetting.

What should I put in the link description?

A visit or invoice number. Never the owner's name.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my practice?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Running a small-animal clinic? Read the page for pet care. Not sure we'd take your practice? See exactly how we decide.

Send your next vetting fee as one link.

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
