Payments for coach charter

Payments for coach and minibus charter.

School trips, club tours, wedding shuttles and company outings are booked ahead and paid by an organisation. Send one link for the deposit and one for the balance. Each invoice is its own link, and there is no automatic monthly charge.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 11 we refuse.

Why this is harder than it looks

Late cancellations, invoices paid by someone else, and bills that grow.

The coach is booked, then the trip is called off

A school trip, a club tour or a wedding shuttle ties up a vehicle and a driver for a whole day. A late cancellation leaves both idle.

Send a link for the hire deposit when the booking is confirmed, and a second link for the balance before the day. Every link is a single payment of a fixed amount.

The invoice is paid by an organisation

The person who books is rarely the one who pays. It goes to a school office, a club treasurer or a company's accounts team.

Send the link with your invoice, with the invoice number as the description. They pay from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

The final bill isn't the quote

Extra miles, a longer day than planned, or damage to the seats turn up after the trip and become the argument.

Anything beyond the quote is one more link for the exact amount, sent with an itemised invoice. Your hire terms decide what is owed.

Deposits and balances settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And anyone paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

One link for the deposit, one for the balance.

1

Send the deposit link with the quote

A fixed amount, with your quote or booking number as the description.

2

Send the balance link before the trip

The school, club or company pays it from their own wallet, or by card where available.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What a coach operator asks first.

We run the same school run every week. Can it be charged automatically?

No. Each invoice is its own link, and there is no automatic monthly charge. You send each invoice as one link and the school pays it.

Does this work for tour bus operators?

Yes. A private tour for a group is quoted and paid the same way: a deposit link, then a balance link, each for a fixed amount.

A group cancelled. How do I return the deposit?

A deposit taken this way is a full payment, so returning any of it is a payment you send back yourself, under your own hire terms. Zoyn has no refund button.

What should the link description say for a school trip?

Your invoice or booking number. Never a pupil's name.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my coach company?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
