Pre-order money that is genuinely yours once it is final.
Publishers and print media businesses take pre-orders months ahead of a print run and owe a chain of contributors on every copy. A payment is treated as final only after the required network confirmations, so the pre-order money is genuinely yours when it arrives.
The problem is the gap between paying and delivering.
Pre-orders that ship a quarter later
Money taken for a title that has not been printed yet is exactly the long-fulfilment shape card companies underwrite hardest, and a rolling reserve is the standard response to it.
On-chain settlement becomes final once the transaction confirms, and the confirmed leg is not a card-network dispute rail over pre-order revenue.
Disputes on copies and digital editions already delivered
A book that has shipped or a file that has downloaded can still be disputed, and on card rails the funds come back out of the publisher's account before the case is heard.
There are no card-network chargebacks on wallet payments, and Zoyn does not reverse a confirmed transfer out of a title's budget. For card payments, your payment provider handles card disputes with the cardholder's bank.
Contributors and translators abroad
A contributor run spread over several countries means several wires, several fees, an FX spread on each, and days of float before anyone is paid.
Paying a contributor or translator abroad is a USDC transfer you sign from your own wallet — no correspondent bank in the path and no float to wait on.
One payment, settled to a wallet you control.
Create the title link
A fixed amount for the edition, the pre-order, or the bundle, with your own catalogue reference.
Reader pays card or crypto
Hosted checkout accepts both. Card availability depends on the buyer's location, currency, and available checkout providers. Card-funded payments are handled by the checkout provider, so card data never reaches you.
Your share is fixed up front
The shares are fixed when your payments are set up: your share and the platform fee. Every sale follows them exactly, and each one can be checked on a public record.
USDC settles to your wallet
Directly into wallets you control. Zoyn sits outside the flow of funds.

Jurisdictions we cannot serve
We cannot onboard merchants operating from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. We do not hold ourselves out as licensed anywhere.
Wallet addresses you'll be paid to are checked against sanctions lists when you enter them, and re-checked every day after that.

What publishing & print media merchants ask first.
Does this replace our royalty accounting?
No. Royalty accounting — escalating rates, reserves against returns, advances being recouped — stays exactly where it is. What changes is the money on each side of it: sales settle to your wallet with finality, so contributors can be paid from money that has already landed instead of waiting on a quarter-end settlement.
How do contributors get paid?
From your wallet, on your schedule — and outside Zoyn. Paying contributors is a USDC transfer you send from your own wallet; Zoyn is a payment-link platform and is not in that flow. What it changes is that the sales behind the payment are settled and yours once they are final.
Do you hold pre-order money until the book ships?
No — Zoyn never takes custody, and it is not an escrow service. The payment settles to wallets you control once it confirms. If you want pre-order funds held separately until a title ships, that is a decision you make with your own wallets and your own bookkeeping.
